Flute Lessons

I am a qualified teacher with 40 years' experience teaching music, both privately and in schools.

I have yet to meet a flautist not passionate about their instrument! The flute offers its players a lifetime of fun and fulfilment. Group lessons of 2-3 are an option, allowing sharing of the cost and enjoyment of small ensemble music-making. ABRSM Grades 1-8 are covered if so desired. 

(If unsure if flute is the instrument for you, the hire of one instrument is available for a minimum of 3 months at £10/m with a deposit of £25.)

Clarinet Lessons

Learn to play this wonderful woodwind instrument! Learning to read and play music has so many benefits. It is great for your brain, helps reduce stress, and opens the door to a great social life! The Associated Board Grades can be covered if so desired.

Piano / Keyboard Lessons

As in learning any musical instrument, playing the piano is such a fun thing to do as it aids creativity, concentration and confidence levels, keeping you forever young at heart!

I offer piano for the first two or three years, during which you will learn to read music and set a foundation of good technique. On wishing to pursue the instrument further, I would then recommend a fellow teacher.

Music Theory Tuition

Start from scratch or fill in the gaps! Enhance your understanding of written music by working together with me through the attractive and beautifully laid out Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music workbooks. You will have the option of taking The Associated Board exams if you so wish. I offer tuition both online and in person.
